STEVE KOTOWICH After 93 years of a varied and full life, Dad passed away on February 23, 2010 with his family by his side. Dad was predeceased by his parents Anna and Anthony, his first wife Jean, second wife Mary, his brother Tony and son-in-law Anthony Onishko. He is survived by his children, Shirley (Herman) Kuivenhoven and Wayne (Julie) Kotowich; grandchildren, Christine (Lawrence) King, Jo-Anne (Lark) Richardson, Valerie (Ritchie) Miller, Steven (Julie) Kotowich, Kim (Brian) Anderson and nine great-grandchildren. Dad also leaves behind his second family, Leslie and Lydia and Ronald and Joyce Sykes and families. Dad was born on July 3, 1916, living his entire life in the Selkirk area. He was a man of many talents, always striving to improve his family's lifestyle. In Dad's younger years he farmed and enjoyed hunting and curling as pastimes. Later in 1970 when he moved to Selkirk his devotion turned to gardening and travelling. He was extremely proud of his garden and loved to show it to all who stopped by. Many hours of enjoyment revolved around playing cards, especially cribbage, watching sports on TV and socializing with his friends and family. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Red River Manor for the exceptional care Dad received over the past four years. At his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, February 26 at 11:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
