EDEN RODA It is with deep sadness that we announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the age of 73 years. Eden was predeceased by her parents Rogarciano and Natalia Albay, sister Elsa and sister-in-law Leonar. She leaves behind her husband John Roda, daughter Joden (Philippines), sister Emelda (Tomas), Elaine, Emerson and family (Philippines), brother Rey (Philippines), Nat (Billy) Kai, Marie (Jeff) Jordynne, May and Anne (Philippines); sister Ellen (Allen) James, Colleen (Bryan), sister Lynda (Villy), Carlo (Gisela), Sophia, Mathias, Gabriana; Chiran (Jillian), Marcus and Christian; sister Evie (Philippines), sisters-in-law Minda, Dely, Loren (Merle of British Columbia), Laly (Roland) of New Jersey and numerous relatives and friends in the Philippines and in Winnipeg. In May 1966 she arrived in Canada and settled in Pine Falls, MB. From 1966 to 1993 Eden worked as a midwife nurse. On April 6, 1969 she was married to Juanito (John) Roda. In 1972 Eden graduated from St. Boniface General Hospital as a practical nurse. Two evenings of Lamay will be held on Sunday, February 28 and Monday, March 1, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Funeral Service in English will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The Filipino Funeral Service will be on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. both in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel.
