GRACE ALICE STRATFORD (nee BYLE) May 22, 1935 - February 23, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Grace Stratford at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 74. Grace was predeceased by her husband James Erve; son Spencer, and parents David and Annie Byle. Left to cherish Grace's memory are her three sons, Brett, Cole (Kris), and Scott; two grandchildren Brenna and Shayla, and her daughter-in-law Jana. We wish to express special thanks to the nurses and also a very special thank you to Sasha for the care they gave to Mom. Grace grew up in Parkdale, where she went on to become a teacher in a number of schools throughout Winnipeg and surrounding communities. She was a very kind, loving, and caring person. Grace had a heart of gold. Bingo, bowling and cards were her greatest passions. The family wishes to invite family and friends for a celebration of Grace's life at her former residence at 46 Greenwich Bay on Sunday, February 28 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place, with interment to follow in the Spring.
