EDWARD SETEK With heartfelt sadness and everlasting love we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Setek on February 24, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife Carole, of 46 years, his daughter Tricia and husband Gary, and his precious grandchildren Zachary and Robyn. Edward was born in Winnipeg to the late Olga and Philip Setek on February 12, 1938. He leaves to mourn, his sister Elizabeth (Peter), brother Adolph (Helen), his in-laws Don (Donna), Bev (Ed), Lloyd, Roy (Barbara), Annette, Mildred (Marvin), Marge (Frank), Phyllis, Elmer (Evelyn), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Philip. Ed was employed at the City of Winnipeg until retirement in 1995. He enjoyed every moment of his retirement as it gave him more time for fishing, hunting, and of course coffeeing with his many, many good friends. Ed was devoted to his family and enjoyed all family gatherings. He will be missed by his numerous relatives and many cherished friends. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Reverend Ken Pawluk officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
