RICHARD (ARCHIE) WICHERT Peacefully, on Sunday February 14, 2010 at Central Park Lodge, Richard (Archie) Wichert, beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away at the age of 74 years with his family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Daniel Wichert (Darlene Nyman); Kerry Wichert; Jeff Wichert (Janice Dilk); and Ryan; grandchildren Murray and Samantha. He also leaves to mourn his sister Shirley and husband Ray Grabski; nephews Wayne and Blair and their families; and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his long-time companion Sherry. Archie was born in Winnipeg on November 20, 1936. He worked in the mines in Flin Flon for many years and then came to Winnipeg where he worked for Abalon. He was a very humorous man and made a lot of people laugh. Archie loved carpentry and was very talented at it. He also loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff a Central Park Lodge. A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, March 2, 1010 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Brenda Fraser officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be taking place in the summer.
