ALVIN EDWARD GOOD March 28, 1941 - February 25, 2010 Dad passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Alvin will be missed by his children, Brent (Dana) Good, Kimberley (Clayton) Stamler, Sean Good; grandchildren, Logan and Avery Good, Quintin and Sidney Stamler, Amber and Shaylee Good. He will be remembered by companion Bernice Ford, brother Bill Good, sisters, Beverly (Bill) Watkinson, Joan (Dennis) Schaeffer, Marilyn (Clifford) Lillies, sister-in-law Vivian Good and his many nieces and nephews. Mother of his children Roseann Nichol; extended family Bryan (Angie) Harrison, Kim Brandson and Tyler Ford. Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Edward Good (nee Calderwood), brother Jim Good and friend Doreen Mitchell. Dad was born March 28, 1941 in Stonewall. Alvin was the oldest of six children to Mary and Edward Good and grew up on a farm in the Rockwood area. Alvin went to school at Brant Argyle. He worked at North American Lumber in Stonewall before he spent many years in the construction industry. Alvin worked for Hugh Munroe Construction for 32 years, where he made many friends and was a dedicated employee who was loved by all. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stonewall Legion Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stonewall Hospital or a charity of choice.
