JOANNE ASHLEY-PINTHER With her family present, Joanne's battle with cancer ended on Friday, February 26, 2010. A celebration of Joanne's life will take place at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Wednesday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba (Health Sciences Centre) or Grace Hospice. I am totally devastated to find out about Joanne's passing. Joanne was one of the best friends I ever had who left me with many fond memories. She made me laugh and I enjoyed being around her. She was a tremendous athlete, with a kind heart for everyone. I loved going to Grand Beach with her and playing volleyball, or running along Kingston Row and the Canoe Club, or just talking or watching TV.
