ELEANOR MAY KOZACHUK (nee Hawcroft) June 7, 1954 - February 26, 2010 Peacefully, surrounded by family on February 26, 2010, Eleanor passed away following a lengthy illness. She will forever be remembered by her husband of 31 years, John, sons David (Steph), Ian (Julie), Colin (Sarah), Adam, parents Eleanor, Brian Sr., brothers Brian (Cathy), John, sister-in-law Gloria, niece and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eleanor's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R2C 2B7. A celebration of Eleanor's life will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway Avenue. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date. Eleanor faced tremendous challenge with indomitable fortitude, unfailing integrity, humor, and a loving spirit. I admire her beyond words and extend my deepest condolences to: John, Eleanor’s husband and soul mate; their sons David, Ian, Colin, and Adam; Gloria and Sarah, who provided so much tender personal support; also, 'Brother John', Brian and Cathy. I will always hold heartfelt remembrance of Eleanor as a beautiful and unfinished woman, whose gracious dignity and peaceful passage inspired and touched those of us who sadly bid her farewell.
