MARGARET GARDINER August 31, 1925 - February 26, 2010 Margaret was born in Lurgan, Ireland on August 31, 1925. She married Maurice Gardiner on March 19, 1952. They had two daughters, Susan, born in 1955 and Barb, born in 1956. The family moved to Canada in 1959 first to Toronto and then to Winnipeg in 1969. Precious granddaughter Krista Lynn was born July 15, 1985. Maurice passed away in March 20, 1989. After Maurice's passing, Margaret moved back and forth from Winnipeg to Ireland, continuing to be torn between her homeland and her Canadian family. Susan moved to Ireland in 1999 and has been a great help to Mom since then. Fortunately Krista has had many trips to Ireland to visit with her Grandma. Their times together have been very precious. Mom passed away peacefully in the early hours of February 26, 2010. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Susan and Barb (Jamie Stuart) and granddaughter Krista. Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with reception to follow. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Maurice in the Garden of Prayer at Chapel Lawn. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
