LORRAINE DANIELLE RADING After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Lorraine passed way peacefully at the Grace Hospice on February 26, 2010. She was predeceased by her brother, Owen in 2008. She is survived by her soul-mate, Gabe; her parents, Dan and Ruth; her brother, Don (Mary-Martha), and her sisters, Bev, Brenda, and Arlene (Jim). Also grieving the loss of their aunt are Meredith, Daniel, Elizabeth and Andrew. Lorraine was born in Calgary, Alberta on February 18, 1957 and grew up in Winnipeg, Ottawa and North Bay. She eventually returned and took up residence in Winnipeg. Lorraine enjoyed her weekly ritual Saturday afternoon gatherings with her family. She also loved the time spent with Gabe and friends at the Bush Camp . She will be dearly missed by the many close friends she met over her lifetime. Lorraine had a real passion for animals and there were a few furry four-legged friends that held a special place in her heart. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Grace Cancer Care for their support during Lorraine's long and arduous fight. We would also like to thank the staff of Riverview Health Centre, the Grace Hospice, and the Palliative Care Program for all their help during her difficult journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3, or any other reputable animal shelter.
