CELIA ANN RUDZIK (nee CHASSIE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Celia on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in the Concordia Hospital, with family and close friends by her side, at the age of 72 years. Mom passed away following a lengthy illness: she fought the battle against lymphoma until the end; she was the most courageous person, never complaining, and always smiling; she was an inspiration to all that knew her. Celia was predeceased by her loving husband Harry Rudzik, her mother Pearl Chassie, her father Frederick Chassie, brother Herbert Paquin, sister Myra Persona. Celia will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Thomas Paquin, Gordon Paquin, Richard Chassie, sister June Young; children Kathy (David) Messerschmidt, Carol Chassie (Christopher Brown), Paul Kapeluch, Allison Bailey; grandchildren Jamilyne, Ryan, Lora, Saryna, Tamara, Cody and Sean; five great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. A special thank you to Dr. Harris and her nurses for their exceptional care and compassion. In keeping with Celia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service honouring Celia's life will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
