ANNE DOLA Peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, Anne Dola passed away March 6, 2010 at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Anne will be remembered by her children Wayne (Jackie), Gary (Linda), Richard, Jim (Yvonne), Perry (Janis), Kelvin, her 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, her sister Mary (Pazdzierski) and sister-in-law Dolly (Maksymyk). She is predeceased by her husband William (Bill), sister Nettie, brother-in-law Mike Biluk, nephew Ken Biluk, brother Michael, brother-in-law Joe Pazdzierski and daughter-in-law Judy. Anne Dola (Maksymyk) was born on November 30, 1929. She was born at home in the Melnice area. Anne married Bill June 28, 1947. They made their home farming in the Pleasant Home area where they raised their six wonderful sons. After Bill passed away in 1983, Anne dedicated herself to her family and church. A hard working and faithful volunteer with the Women's Auxiliary of the St. Stephen Ukrainian Orthodox Church she took pride serving others while catering meals. Anne expressed her love through food. She thrived on company, made everyone feel welcome and important, could make a banquet meal while laughing and playing canasta, then send them home with Baba pickles, perogies or tomato juice. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her hummingbirds, and everything of Ukrainian tradition especially when the grandchildren were involved. Anne's love was unconditional, it touched our lives, it remains forever in our hearts. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care during her stay there. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre on Main Street in Teulon. Anne will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Holy Rosary Cemetery on Kernstead Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Teulon Palliative Care or the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
