WALTER RUDNICKI
Born: Sep 25, 1925
Date of Passing: Mar 07, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER RUDNICKI Born Winnipeg September 25, 1925 Died Ottawa March 7, 2010 Rudnicki was born during the Great Depression and raised in Winnipeg's tough north end. Proud of those roots all his life, he was a rebel, a boat-rocker, uncompromising in his ethics and with a keen sense of justice. He was an intellectual, an artist, a raconteur and a handsome charmer. He was the best sort of sceptic: a sceptic who saw the humour and got the joke. He was, most of all, fiercely loyal to friends and family. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Simone, his five children, Richard, Denise, Elaine, Michael and Stephen, his 12 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and his sisters, Adelaide and Rosemarie. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa). A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Remembrance Services. In memory of Walter, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. On line condolences can be made at www.colefuneralservices.com.
