BETH ENNS It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to Elizabeth (Beth) Enns, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Beth passed away peacefully at Donwood Manor on Sunday morning, March 7, 2010. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ron, his wife Linda, their children, Darryl (Jeanine, Abby, Myah), Scott (Brenda, Logan, Jacob), Bryan (Lindsay, Mackenzie, Mady); Victor, his wife Linda, their children Shannon, Marina and Jillian; Robert (Bobby) his son Dustin; Karen, her husband Jim Pitz, their children Tara, Jamie and Casey; David, his wife Carol, their children Emily and Ellen; Daniel (Danny), his wife Christine, their children Hayley (Adam Legault), Laura, Erin and Danielle; also her brothers Neil (Hilda), John (Frieda), Herman (Betty) and her sisters Mary Klippenstein (Jake), Sarah Reid (Gordon), Elaine Penner (Herb); and sisters-in-law Hilda and Margaret. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob in 2000, her father Heinrich, her mother Elizabeth (Hildebrand), sister Anne Penner, brothers Henry, Peter and Bill. Elizabeth was born September 11, 1925 in Osborne, Manitoba where she was raised on the family farm, the fifth child of 11 children. On September 28, 1946 she married Jake Enns and moved to La Salle, Manitoba. In 1963 they moved to Oak Bluff, Manitoba where she resided for the majority of her life. For 50 years together with her husband, she was involved in the family business until her retirement in 1996. Beth was a member of the Domain Mennonite Brethren Church until the church closed in 1980 after which she joined the Portage Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, Winnipeg. She became an active member of the Gideon's in 1982. Beth was strong in her faith in God and her family. Her many interests included knitting, singing and travelling. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, and prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue with interment at La Salle Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideon's International Canada, 501 Imperial Road, North, Guelph, Ontario, N1H 7A2. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27: 1
