JOAN LACOMY (nee Hunka) It is with much sadness that the family of Joan Lacomy announces her passing on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the age of 71. Joan died peacefully, with her family at her side, at Seven Oaks Hospital after a brief, yet brave battle with cancer. With her passing, Joan leaves to mourn Greg, her loving husband of almost 48 years, her three children, Brad Lacomy (Alisa), Michelle Namaka (Marvin) and Carmelle Lacomy-Pich (Kevin), and her four grandchildren Brett, Danica, Brady and Tori. Joan is also survived by her brother John Reeves. Joan was a light hearted person who managed to find the positive in most everything she did. Some of her interests included: spending time at the cottage with her family, bowling, volunteering for numerous charities and, of course, watching her kids and grandkids play hockey/ringette/baseball. Joan will sadly be missed and forever loved by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A reception will follow the celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Joan to Cancer Care Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. 586-8044
