JOSEPH BOTCHAR May 22, 1924 - March 8, 2010 It is with great sadness our family announces the peaceful passing of Joe on March 8, 2010. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jackie, her partner Gino, his son David and partner Teresa, his sister Annie Sichello and brother Leon. Joe was predeceased by his wife Kay: his daughter-in-law Joanne and his son-in-law Darrell Farquharson, and siblings Anton, Stanley, Helen Sadowy, Frances Shaykewich and Mike. Dad was born and resided in the Oakbank area, except for a few years when he lived in Toronto. He enjoyed the beauty of nature and the country way of life with our Mom. He was looking forward to hearing the birds sing in his yard this summer. Our Dad dearly loved us and that is the best legacy of all. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Interment to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
