ELLA JANZEN Ella Janzen (nee Heinrichs) died peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010, in her favourite winter spot, Boynton Beach, Florida. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill, of 55 years, her son, Dennis and daughter-in-law, Cheryl, grandchildren Kristin, Trevor and Derek; daughter, Angela and son-in-law, David Dick, grandchildren, Ashley, Braedon and Scott. She will also be missed by her sisters, Erna (Jake) Froese and their family and sister Margaret Heinrichs and by Bill's siblings and spouses and many nieces and nephews. Ella was born in Toronto, Ontario on February 11, 1931. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith on May 28, 1950. She met Bill at youth group at the Niagara United Mennonite Church and after a two year courtship, married in this same church on October 30, 1954. Bill and Ella made their home in Arnaud where they farmed for many years with Bill's two brothers. Later they farmed with their son, Dennis. Bill and Ella enjoyed a rich community of friends in Manitoba, Ontario and Boynton Beach, Florida. Funeral will take place at the Arnaud Mennonite Church, Arnaud, Manitoba, on Monday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to International Child Care; the rebuilding of the Grace Hospital in Haiti. This was a special organization that Ella was involved in for many years.
