WILFRED GORDON BROWN Wilfred Gordon Brown passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the age of 88. Wilf is lovingly remembered by his daughter Karen and his granddaughter Tasya. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl; his parents, Charles and Dorothy; and his brothers, Ernie and Eddie. Wilf lived his entire life in Winnipeg, and during the Second World War he proudly served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war he had many careers, reinventing himself every few years. He owned and drove truck locally, worked as an electrician for Air Canada, sold cars and farm equipment, moved large machinery, and, in his retirement, worked in the insolvency division of a major accounting firm. He was a well-respected and long-standing member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and the Shrine. Wilf loved to share stories of his family and friends, his experiences growing up in Winnipeg, and his time serving his country. He was blessed by the many friends and neighbours whose support and care allowed him to maintain his independence. Each one deserves special thanks for their gift of time. A memorial service celebrating Wilf's life will be held at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity that is near and dear to your heart. Godspeed Dad. NEIL BARDAL INC. (204) 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
