VIOLET JOSEPHINE WARD (nee HABING) May 16, 1913 - March 5, 2010 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Violet Josephine Ward aged 96, who passed away peacefully at Kin Place Personal Care Home in Oakbank on March 5, 2010. She is survived by her husband Ross, their four children Bill (Mary), Dale (Fran), Nona, Wilma (Satch) and 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one brother Mern, her only sister June, sisters-in-law Jean, Pearl and Blanche and numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Elizabeth Habing and siblings Jack, Gerald (Maud), Virgil, Norman, Floyd (Alice), Leonard, Raymond, brother-in-law Kitchner and sister-in-law Anne. Our thanks go out to Kin Place Personal Care Home for the excellent care and kindness shown to Mom and Dad throughout the past few years. As per Violet's request a private family service was held on March 11 at Green Acres Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation may be made to Kin Place Personal Care Home's Recreation Fund, 680 Pine Drive, Box 28, Oakbank, Manitoba, R0E 1J0. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal and Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
