Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA MILLER, DIPCOT, OTM It is with deep remorse we inform you of the passing of Barbara (Babs) Miller (nee McPhartlan) peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010. Remaining to grieve her passing is her husband Joe, son Craig, daughter Jennifer and the love of her life, grandson Gavin. She will be remembered for her compassion towards others. Barbara's higher education started in Glasgow, Scotland where in 1970 she attained the Occupational Therapy Diploma. She also received Bus. Admin. credits from the University of Winnipeg which included budgeting, human resources, quality assurance and program development. Barbara worked as a Senior Department Manager and Senior Occupational Therapist. She had extensive hands-on community-based and institutional experience, with expertise in patient, workplace and Occupational assessment and program development. She was a goal-oriented team builder with exceptional interpersonal skills. Barbara was a member and volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion, St. James Branch; a founding member and crisis intervention volunteer with the Manitoba Committee on Spousal Abuse; a volunteer children's soccer coach with Deer Lodge Community Centre and completed certificates in Advocacy and Counselling through the University of Manitoba. The intensive care unit nursing staff at the Grace General Hospital showed compassion toward Babs as well as the family. At Barbara's request no service will be held. NEIL BARDAL INC.
