HILAIRE (LARRY) JOSEPH MEILLEUR It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather, Hilaire (Larry) Joseph Meilleur on March 11, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elsie; his children, Kevin (Mary), Kim (Rob); his brother Regis (Lucy); sisters, Regina, Cory, Lou (Albin), Adeline and Laury (Richard). He was predeceased by his father Moise, his mother Delia, his brother Ossie and sister Yvette. Larry was born and raised on a farm in Fisher Branch, MB where he worked for several years after marrying Elsie Evelyn Buckley in 1957. They later moved to Winnipeg in 1966 to raise their family. He worked at a few different jobs in Winnipeg before becoming a Corrections Officer at Stoney Mountain Penitentiary in 1972. He retired in 1996. Larry found great joy and purpose through his strong faith and commitement to serving Jehovah God as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. A great source of pride and joy in his life were his grand-children: Cody (18), Wyatt (12), Amber (7) and Emma (5). He will be missed by all who knew him for his smile, genuine kindness, positive attitude and willingness to help anyone. Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 937 Gateway Road on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
