MARY ROGASKI (nee WARD) With great sadness we say goodbye to our loving mother, wife and grandmother, Mary Rogaski, who passed away peacefully on March 12, 2010 at Lions Manor Personal Care Home. She is survived by her husband, Mike Rogaski; their two children, Peter Rogaski, his wife Patricia and daughter Maria, and Mary-Anne Kennedy, her husband Timothy and their two sons, Brandon and Kiran, as well as many other extended family members. Mary grew up in Skinbouy, Douglas Bridge, Northern Ireland. In 1953, she obtained her RN at Omagh County Hospital School of Nursing in Northern Ireland. In 1955, she obtained her Midwifery Degree in London, England. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1958 and worked at the Woman's Hospital on the Labour and Delivery Unit as the Head Nurse. In 1977 she became the Nursing Supervisor at the Health Sciences Centre Woman's Hospital. She retired in 1995 with over 20 years of service. As a result of Alzheimer's disease, she was a long term resident of Lions Manor. We thank the staff for their care and compassion shown to Mom and our family over the past several years. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue, Winnipeg. Personal viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Research Division, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2G2.
