MARGARET (ROSE) CARRIERE In the end, her passing was peaceful, at home where she wanted to be, surrounded by those who loved her most. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Rose, common law spouse to Blake, mother of Cindy, Darryl (Lynette, Ryan) Michelle (Jeff) and grandma to Emily. She also leaves a brother and sister, a half sister, nephews, and the many friends who were so important to mom and who were with her right to the end. Rosie' lived with cancer for the past four years, and never let it slow her down a bit. After a long career with the Bank of Montreal, she threw herself into retirement, enjoying the freedom and opportunities all of the new time afforded her. There wasn't much that she didn't think she could do, or many new experiences she said no to. Each spring she looked forward to the new golf season, and in the winter the travel books would come out to find a warm place to escape the cold winter. When faced with her final diagnosis she said, Spring had better get here soon , and it has come, but much too soon for us. We will miss passing the new milestones in our lives without her encouragement and guidance, and mostly the joy she had in sharing her life with ours. We hope that those happy memories will live on through all of us as we reflect on a life well and truly lived as we get on with the rest of our lives without her. We want to thank all of the friends and extended family that helped us cope during this very hard time. We want you to know, that her friends made over a lifetime at the golf course, the curling rink, and of course at the various bank branches she worked at, that you were a very important part of mom's life. She loved us and we know that she will be missed by one and all. Please gather with us at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, March 19 at 12:30 p.m. where we will mark her passing with a service, followed by a private family interment. Your kind wishes are enough for us, but if you feel inclined, please make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba in lieu of flowers. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
