Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALMA WILHELMINA BULMAN October 19, 1919 March 15, 2010 Peacefully, after a brief illness, our beloved Aunty Alma passed away in her sleep, and returned home to her precious Father and Saviour Jesus Christ. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are many beloved nieces and nephews, notably nieces and nephews to whom Aunty Alma was like a mother, they include Tanyss (Lally), Brenda (Biagio), Carol (Jack), Sandy (Andre), Bryan (Teresa) and Bob (Jean). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Olga and Pearl. She was predeceased by her mother Pauline and her father Adolphe, her sister Edith (Vern), her brothers Carl (Evelyn), Fred (Martha), Emile (Lena), Alec (Dorothy), August, William, Daniel (Florence), and infant brother Hermann. Aunty Alma was born on October 19, 1919 in Brokenhead, MB., baptized in her faith and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She remained faithful to her church and service to her Lord throughout her life, and the Lutheran Church was her spiritual compass. In her early years she attended St. Ouens Corrall and later, the Success Business College. After this she began her working career at the T. Eaton Company in November 1940, and retired in 1984 after 44 years of loyal service. Being a member of the Eaton's family was something Aunty Alma was always proud of. Aunty Alma's life began with humble beginnings and she never forgot about her roots, and always helped those less fortunate. She was an active member of First English Lutheran Church for over 50 years, where she volunteered extensively well into her 80s. She kept her sharp mind and continued to excel and enjoy such activities as crossword puzzles, bridge, scrabble and computer games. She was also an avid reader and a major movie enthusiast. She was always on hand for a debate on the most current issue, be it Canadian or American, and more often than not she would win these debates. She was a very loving and kind woman who was integral in our lives and those of five generations, who will feel the void of her absence. We will miss her wit, her warmth, her laughter, her loyalty, and above all her love. Our family extends our heartfelt thanks of appreciation to Dr. Komenda, the doctors, nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital for their compassionate and tender care of our treasured Aunty Alma. Aunty Alma, thank you for your love, friendship, support, counsel and wisdom that you shared with us throughout our lives. You are irreplaceable and we will carry you in our hearts forever. A celebration of Aunty Alma's life will take place on March 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by Pastor Nancy Walker, pastor of Aunty Alma's current church, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. A private interment will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Green Bay, MB. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief, 302 - 393 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 3H6, a charity special to Aunty Alma's heart. Arrangements entrusted to: KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 Send expressions of sympathy at www.klassenfuneralhome.com
