KELSEY ALICIA GINA HARPER April 3, 1997 - March 16, 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Kelsey, at the Children's Hospital, on March 16, 2010. Kelsey is survived by her mother Alice Harper and stepfather Raymond Day; sisters Carlene Harper and Trina Meekis; grandparents Tansen and Madeline Meekis; aunts Brenda, Ida, Irene, Angeline; uncles Jackie, Barry, Jason, Andrew, Claude, Eddie; nieces Trinity and Kainan; nephew Kreed; and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Lanny Harper. Also left to cherish her memories are her Foster Parents Grannie Joan and Grandpa John Gosek, and the rest of the Gosek family, and special friends and nurses Carol Moellar, Christine Couch, and Marianne Ward. Kelsey was born in Sioux Lookout, ON, before moving to Winnipeg with her mother. She recently graduated from grade six at Norquay School and was attending Andrew Mynarski Junior High, where she made numerous friends who loved her dearly. Kelsey also had lots of E.A.'s through the Winnipeg School Division One, who made a big difference in her life and really cared for her. Kelsey was always full of smiles and let you know when she didn't like things done the way she wanted. She loved traveling, parties, walks, and of course boys! There was nothing she didn't enjoy. She will be missed by so many people, especially her beautiful smile and giggles. She was a teacher of life. She taught us we can give life to others, be happy and enjoy life all the time! She is free and a happy angel now...no pain...no sorrow...no illness...she will be missed by all. Memorial Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Funeral Services Monday, March 22, 2010, 1:00 p.m., Deer Lake United Church, Deer Lake, ON. Interment Deer Lake Cemetery. Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, the world's weary troubles and trials are past; in silence she suffered, in patience she bore, Till God called her home to suffer no more. The Depths of sorrow we cannot tell, Of the loss of the one we loved so well, And while she sleeps a peaceful sleep, her memory we shall always keep. We love you Kelsey

  • Patoot, it is five years today since you've been gone. I still miss you and think of you so often. I work with another girl now and her name also starts with K and she just looks at me funny when I call her Kelsey. Sunshine on my shoulder still makes me happy. See ya, Carol. - Posted by: Carol Moeller (friend and nurse) on: Mar 16, 2015
