SEAN CAMPBELL No words can express the depth of our sadness at the sudden and unexpected passing of Sean, our Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend. Sean left this world very quietly and peacefully in the early hours of March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, at the young age of 64 years. His untimely passing has left a huge void in the many lives he touched but especially in the lives of his children, John (Stacey) and their children, Jack, Belinda, Luke; Patricia (Mark), Joanne (Kyle) and Jennifer; their mother Mary Bowes; former wife Denise Campbell with whom he remained close friends and Sean's beloved companion Lourdes Cancino. To his children he was a dear father who loved them unconditionally and without reservations. Also deeply mourning the loss of Sean are his brother Joseph (Mary); sisters, Cora (Dublin), Clem (Dermot) and Imelda (Jack). Sean will also be deeply missed by his loving nieces and nephews, both here in Winnipeg and abroad in Ireland and Wales. Their Uncle Sean was intensely interested in their loves and lives, he was ever their staunch protector. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Clementine Campbell, his sisters, Bernadette Darcy and Marie McCormack, his brothers-in-law, Denis Ryan and Willie McCormack. Sean will be remembered for his love, his generosity, but above all his passion for life. He was very proud of his Irish birth and heritage. He was a founding member of the Irish Association of Manitoba, a past President of the Association, and also a founding member of the Irish Stew ballad group. With this group Sean and his brother performed at Folklorama in its early days. At the time of Sean's passing he was the guiding light of Celtic Way' with his son John. They were due to perform at the King's Head on St. Patrick's Day, the day Sean left us for the heavenly choirs. He will be sorely missed by all his friends and colleagues at the Grace Hospital where he worked for many years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 21 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2400 Portage Ave. with Father Mark Tarrant as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vital Parish Cemetery, 826 Crescent Drive in Fort Garry. Your kind wishes and heartfelt sympathy are enough for us, but if you feel inclined, donations in Sean's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. • Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Sean Campbell. Our families spent many years together at the Irish Club laughing and sharing stories. We will always remember his love of singing with the Irish Stew . Even though it had been a while since we'd seen him, he will never be forgotten to any of us. Our thoughts are mostly with his children at this time, and remembering all the great times we had growing up playing at their house. Our prayers are with you....we love you all. Sincerely Anastasia, Kerry, Shannon, Erin and the O'Brien family. - Posted by: Anastasia O'Brien (Friend) on: Mar 19, 2010
