ELDA LORENE LAWRENCE 1916 - 2010 Peacefully on March 11, 2010 at the River Park Gardens, Elda passed away at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald Lawrence; her parents, Ethel and Ira Loucks; sister Mae (Samuel) Ranson, sister Hazel (Dick) Southam, brother Walter (Laurie) Loucks; nephews, Robert and Micky Ranson, Neil Southam, Terry Loucks; and niece Pat Fry. She is survived by her nephew Lynn Southam and niece Shirley Hallord. Elda was born at home on May 20, 1916 in Elmore, SK. She grew up in Gainsborough, SK and moved to Winnipeg at a young age to start a successful career. She worked at the Country Guide, Hignal Printers, Great West Life and was editor of Weston the publication for Weston Bakeries. She served a term as President of the Industrial Editors Association of Canada. She then went into a lengthy career of Real Estate sales. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in the Gainsborough Cemetery at a later date.
