Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE FINKEL September 26, 1922 - March 20, 2010 Our loving mom and grandmother passed away after a 20-year battle with cancer. Born in Vinitza, Ukraine, Mom came to Canada with her widowed mother and sister, Edith, in 1930. She married Dad in 1945 and is survived by her six children: Jack, Alvin (Ann), Reeva (Warren), Marvin (Polina), Arlene (Paul), and Sandra (Lorne). She is also survived by six grand-kids: Blaire and Kimberly Appotive, Antony, Kieran and Jessica Finkel, and Jazmin Boisclair. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Leslie, in November 2003. Mom was an amazing woman whose devotion to her family was total. We'll remember her always. Thanks to the staff at the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care unit for their caring help to Mom over the last three months of her life. The funeral for Rose Finkel will take place Tuesday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chesed Shel Emes, 1023 Main Street, with burial to follow at the B'nay Abraham cemetery.
