John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Vira Maslyak, his niece Oksana Maslyak (Victor Solodun), great-niece and nephew Marta Solodun (Ben Buckwold), Yuriy Solodun, step-daughters Elsie Maningas (Carlos), Doris Jackson (Jim), and grandchildren Andrew, Carlos, Janet, Jean. He was predeceased by his wife Anna Kuszlik in 1987. Born in Kalush, Ukraine on August 10, 1914, John was the oldest of five siblings of Maria and Joseph Kuszlik. He was a proud USW union member and a caring family man. Once retired, John very much enjoyed helping to run small family jewelry business at the Forks Market in Winnipeg.
