WILLIAM LUCYK Peacefully at home William Lucyk died on Saturday, March 20, 2010. He leaves to mourn his wife Nancy Bahrey; sister Jean Medwid (Richard); sister Phyllis Bender; brother Anthony Lucyk; brother-in-law Gerald Bahrey, also survived by one niece, many nephews and numerous cousins. Predeceased by his sister Julie in 1983, brother-in-law Martin in 2003 and his mother in 2005. William was born and raised in the Meleb area. He farmed the land of the family homestead that was in his family for over 100 years. His greatest passion was cattle farming and he loved John Deere Tractors. William also worked as a heavy equipment operator for 36 seasons. Some of the projects he worked on were Hydro Dams and the Red River Floodway. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Rembrandt Pioneer Cemetery. (Arborg) MacKenzie Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
