DR. JAGAN NATH JOSHI It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Jagan Nath Joshi. Jagan was born in Raub, Malaysia on November 9, 1928. He trained in medicine in Adelaide, Australia and completed his residency there before returning to Malaysia to marry his future wife Malti - who he always said was more beautiful than Grace Kelly. In 1965, he moved his young family to London, England, where he received his M.R.C.P. in Internal Medicine. Always an adventurer and looking for his next big challenge, in 1970 he moved his family to Manitoba, where he trained in Psychiatry. Jagan lived in Winnipeg for 40 years and practiced as a psychiatrist right up until his passing. He also had a passion for business and finance. At the age of 75 he discovered the internet and loved monitoring world events and the stock market online. He had an extreme zeal for life - living every moment to the fullest, without regret, without doubt and without fear. He will be deeply missed by his loving family: wife Malti, children Ravi (Susan), Kavita and Anita (Prakash) and grandchildren Deven, Rowan, Ela and Indira. Thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Luke's Hospital for their care and compassion, with special thanks to Dr. Amit Srivastava, Denise and Claudette. Funeral services will be held at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing and visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. A prayer meeting (Shanti Path) will be held at the Hindu Temple at 999 St. Annes Road on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. • Lorna & I met Malti and Jagan in 1970. We were reminiscing & thought of Joshi's. We are sad and heartbroken to find that we lost him. Our memories are fresh for ever -- laughing kind face of Jagan. He was a great smart colleague to work with. He had fantastic knowledge of Wall Street and financial world. Malti - accept our condolences though late. Please e-mail us & let us have your home phone number. - Posted by: Surendra Mohan Sharma (Old Friend from Brandon Manitoba) on: May 05, 2013
