Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALEE HELEN CAROLYNE HILL August 2, 1976 March 20, 2010 It is with the deepest sorrow and heartbreak that Fred and Karen Hill (nee Kruk) announce the sudden passing of their beautiful Down Syndrome daughter Ronalee on March 20, 2010 at her home in her sleep during the evening. She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Helen Kruk on August 5, 1969, her uncle Ronald Kruk on December 23, 1973, her maternal grandfather (Papa), Michael Kruk on April 3, 1999 and her paternal grandfather Fred Hillgruber on September 10, 1996. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her parents Fred and Karen Hill, one sister Tanis Hill of Winnipeg and one brother Dr. Michael Hill, sister-in-law Salisha, and one niece Paige Hill, all of Nashville, TN, USA. Also, two maternal uncles, Michael Kay of Spain and Thailand, Bruce Kruk of Winnipeg, cousin Scott Kay of Toronto, her paternal grandmother Caroline Hillgruber, and her paternal uncle Ray and Rose Hill, all of Winnipeg, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Ronalee had attended Polson Elementary, Chief Peguis Junior High and graduated from Kildonan East Collegiate in 1997. After graduation, she went to work at Versatech Industries on William Ave. up until the time of her death. Ronalee loved her job very much and enjoyed going to work on the First Student Transportation bus each day. If she was sick or if there was a holiday, she would be very upset that she could not go to work that day. She enjoyed going to all Versatech social activities, especially the Versatech Annual Dinner and Dance. She was well liked by all staff and her peers. Ronalee's favourite hobbies included playing her walkman, listening to her favourite CDs, dancing, swimming and watching WWE Wrestling every Monday evening with her dad. Since she was a year old, Ronalee always enjoyed going on trips every year to the United States. She would have the most fun when she would go to visit her brother in Nashville because she had her entire family surrounding her. Ronalee had a very special bond with her little niece Paige. They were best girlfriends who loved each other very much and enjoyed playing together. Paige always said that Ronalee was her favourite Auntie as they would always be getting into mischief together. Ronalee was very attached to her family as she was the sunshine of their lives. She loved her family so much and would assign a special job for each family member to do for her. She always wanted her sister Tanis for assistance when needed and all she wanted from her mother was hugs and kisses. She had a daily routine which was very important to her and did not like any change. Sincere thanks to Dr. William G. DeGroot for taking care of Ronalee during her childhood years and to Dr. Ray Martens for taking care of Ronalee during her adult years. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, followed by a luncheon. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Kruk, Ray Hill, Nick Wasylik, Kevin Nietrzeba, Martin Nietrzeba and John Slobodzian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Down Syndrome Society of Manitoba, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1M5, or a charity of your choice.
