ROMEO ALONZO JOSEPH LACROIX May 28, 1931 - March 25, 2010 Suddenly at Charleswood Care Centre, Romeo, aged 78, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2010. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Jeanne, six children Lynne (Andy), Rene (Laurie), Roland (Lisa), Gilles (Jenni), Margot (Gerry), and Irene (Barry), ten loving grandchildren, Kristy, Alexa, Brayden, Michael, Roque, Zachary, Kaleigh, Kelsey, Kennedy, and Peyton, and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Anna and all 11 siblings. Romeo worked at Swift, Tache Nursing Centre, C.N.R., the school in Iles-des-Chenes, and the St. Boniface Hospital. Romeo retired from work in 1992. His favourite pastimes were fiddling, dancing, wine-making, curling, hunting, fishing, and camping. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 with a viewing one hour prior to service at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre.
