MARGARET GERALDINE KIT On Monday, March 22, 2010, with her family by her side, Margaret passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus. Margaret was predeceased by her mom and dad, George and Annie Hartas, brother Ken and her beloved husband Steve, of 49 years whom she missed dearly. She will also be sadly missed by her daughter Kathy (John), son Doug (Sandy) and three much loved grandchildren, Derek, Laura and Ryan. Margaret was born on July 27, 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario. With her parents being in the Salvation Army ministry, Margaret lived in many different parts of Canada and Bermuda. Her life finally settled in Winnipeg, where she met our dad, Steve. Mom and Dad were married on July 26, 1958 and had a wonderful, loving marriage, creating many happy memories. We were very blessed to have such supportive and loving parents. Mom was thrilled when her grandchildren came along. She loved them unconditionally and was proud of them. Margaret worked for many years with the Transcona School Division as a school Secretary. During that time, she developed many long-lasting friendships. After retirement, Mom and Dad spent many happy winters in Florida. Just last year Mom moved into the Park City Meadows Housing. It was here that she really started to enjoy life again. She had many friends there and enjoyed all of the activities that the complex had to offer. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Avenue, West. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or The Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. We love you and we will miss you Mom.
