DAVID WAYNE PIKE Wayne Pike of Petersfield, passed away peacefully at Goodwin Lodge in Teulon on March 27, 2010 at the age of 58 years. Wayne leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Brenda and sons Darryl (Candace) and John Ross. He also leaves his in-laws Elsie, Bev, Denis, Barb, Aime, Rhonda, and Ron; five nephews; his mom Anne and sister Susan (Bill). Wayne was predeceased by his dad John and father-in-law Ross (Bud) Taylor. Wayne was born August 31, 1951 in Selkirk. Brenda and Wayne were married October 11, 1980. He lived all his life in Petersfield. After graduating high school he worked at the Rolling Mill, then went farming full time in 1980. He loved hunting and farming, and was happy being in the tractor or combine. Darryl and John Ross took over the farm in 2003. Wayne was happy they chose that life. He also loved being on the lake fishing with his sons or snowmobiling with them. In 2000, Wayne was diagnosed with MS, this disease would take his life. He has been living at Goodwin Lodge for the last five years. Many thanks to the staff at Goodwin Lodge. Your care and entertainment meant a lot to Wayne. Thanks also to our family, friends and the staff at Canadian Tire. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bob Whiteford, Harold Dalman, Keith Carter, Gordie Bracken, Randy Koniski, and Murray Thidrickson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Health District Foundation (Goodwin Lodge Courtyard), care of Goodwin Lodge, Box 89, Teulon, MB, R0C 3B0.
