DONALD BRIGGS February 5, 1942 - March 30, 2010 Peacefully on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, Don passed away with his family at his side at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 68 years. Remaining to forever cherish Don's memory will be his wife Linda; children Lisa and John; loving granddaughter Nikki, as well as many family and friends that kept in touch throughout his illness. Don had a lifelong interest in cars and his pride and joy was his 1958 Chevy Impala Convertible. His other passion was reading, he was an avid history buff and loved discussing politics and world issues. Don worked for over 30 years at the Queen's Printer Department as a printer. He met some wonderful people there and many of them became lifelong friends. In compliance with Don's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. Many thanks and much appreciation go to Don's caregivers over the years, especially to the dedicated staff at Riverview Health Centre where he spent the last month of his life. Don fought a long, hard battle with emphysema; however there was not to be one more miraculous recovery . In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Don's memory to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
