MARGARET GILLETT (nee QUIGG) August 15, 1947 - March 29, 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Gillett, beloved companion of Anthony Valenta and devoted mother to Russell (Gail) and Michelle (Gary) and grandmother to Alexandria, Duncan and Caitlin. Mom was predeceased by her parents Grace and Jimmy Quigg. Mom was born in Duntocher, Scotland and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1968. Mom was a warm and generous person who touched the lives of all she met. She loved trying new things, had a wicked sense of humour and loved to golf. Despite her diagnosis of cancer in February 2010, she continued to live life to the fullest. In compliance with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held but there will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, April 18 at the Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa, Winnipeg from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
