DAVID MYRON CHRISTIANSON December 3, 1946 - March 31, 2010 It is with great sadness, yet joy in our hearts that Dave started his next stage of life and journeyed home to be once again with his loving wife Anne. He leaves behind and will be sadly missed by his devoted daughters, Shelley Elhatton (Shaun), Wanda (Richard) Mailhot and very special grandsons, Brayden and Dustin, son James and his family, sister Doris (Russ), brother Don (Shirley) and many extended family members. Predeceased by parents, Carl and Catherine, brothers, Gayle, Calvin and Harl and most recently sister Patricia (George). Dave will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and quirky sense of humour. Not to forget all those amazing bedtime stories to his grandsons and all the fun ways to play games. Who would think you could have so much fun with a tin can and a garden stake! Not to forget the pringle chips roasted at the fire. Dave has lived a worldly filled life, experimenting in many jobs. From a carney at a carnival, a brew master at Carlings, and a bus driver and many other ventures in Flin Flon where he grew up. Most recently at Scotts where he found great joy and many friendships he truly treasured. Special thanks to Cathy who worked there, for her ongoing love and support and Charlito for his special friendship. Oh his life stories were endless! At his request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will take place at this time. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, in David's memory, we'd like to plant a tree and donate a bench to St. Vital Park; donations may be forwarded to Wanda, 115 Worthington Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2M 1R7. Sitting back and enjoying the works of his labour with mom and their gardens were the special moments they shared. Nope Dave, I'm pretty sure there's no gardening in Heaven. Enjoy the peace and the rest. We Love You!

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I am so sorry for the loss of Dave. It has come to me as quite a shock as I have been trying to find his whereabouts for years. Was wanting to have a surprise birthday party for my older brother and Dave was in our circle of friends. He used to pick me up on the bus early and I would ride out to Channing with him picking up kids that went to my school. Just a wonderful person to be around. Flin Flon had started up a new page so I had asked if anyone knew where Dave was and one guy contacted my brother and said that Dave had died and he lived around Winnipeg. So Mac checked the obituaries and found it. Again sorry for your loss. Dave knew me by Sharon Wotton *McDonald* - Posted by: Sharon Swan (Very good friends ) on: Apr 25, 2019
