RUTH LOREEN WATTIER (nee GALL) Ruth passed away on April 1, 2010 at Golden West Lodge at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her parents Norma and Ed Gall, husband Harry, son Douglas and brother Douglas. She is survived by her son William (Kim), daughter in-law Mary, six grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and cherished friends Joyce and Raymond Kasur. Her early married life was spent overseas with Harry serving in the R.C.A.F. until returning to Winnipeg in the fifties to be close to her parents. She spent many years as a dedicated volunteer in the women's auxiliary of the Winnipeg Humane Society, and was an outspoken defender of all animals, with her little dog Willie close by. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3, or a charity of your choice.
