ROY M. LEV It is with great sadness that the family of Roy M. Lev announces his passing on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Roy will be missed by his daughter Lisa, his sons Jay and Greg, his grandchildren Eva and Julian, his sister Shirley Sharzer, and brothers-in-law Val Werier and George Ostry. Roy was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Eda Lev, and his sisters Eve Werier and Ann Ostry. Born in Foam Lake, SK on March 29, 1930, Roy and his family moved to Winnipeg's North End where he proudly attended Luxton School and St. John's High School. Roy then entered the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba, graduating in 1954. Roy enjoyed a successful architectural practice spanning 20 years before joining Lakeview Properties as a partner. He went on to establish Jegray Development, developing numerous apartment and commercial properties. Throughout the 1980s, Roy was proud to serve as a Director of the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Football Club. From 1988 to 1990, Roy was the President of the Board of Directors for the Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation. During this time, Roy was also appointed a Director of Ports Canada. Roy cherished his summers at the cottage at Balsam Bay and looked forward to spending time in Hawaii most winters. He will be dearly missed. A private memorial will be held by the family on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
