JOHN (JACK) ARMSTRONG February 11, 1926 - April 4, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John Armstrong at the young age of 84 years. Left to cherish his memory, wife Sheila of 63 years, his children Douglas (Debbie), Valerie (Floyd), Richard (Elaine), Joyce (John), Leslie (Debbie), Clifford (Ruth), Kimberly (Darcy), Sheila(Len), Neil (Lesley). Numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren, many relatives and friends. John was predeceased by his parents William and Lucy Ann, his brother Alex, and his sister Alice, also his grandsons Nicholas and Matthew. Dad worked for the CNR railway for 42 years and retired in 1984. He enjoyed many trips down south with his wife and their friends Jake and Marie. He also enjoyed many family gatherings and seeing his family together. Cremation has taken place. As per Dad's wishes there will be no formal service, but please join the family for a celebration of Dad's life, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 530 Rosedale Ave. between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Many thanks to the ICU of Selkirk General Hospital and local home care personnel.
