MARY RUTA Peacefully, at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital, on April 5, 2010, Mary Ruta, aged 90 years, of Selkirk, formerly of Petersfield, MB. Mary was predeceased by her husband Nicholas. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Gerald (Darlene) of Gimli; daughter Helen (Victor) Bidinosti of Petersfield; grandchildren, Blaine (Brenda), Carla (Dwight) and Nola (Richard); great-grandchildren Jennifer, Michael and Jessica; sister Rose Pattrosson. Mary was born on December 18, 1919 in Melnice, MB to Joseph and Pauline Paluch. She loved gardening, knitting and entertaining guests; the coffee pot was always on when friends dropped by for a visit. She also enjoyed working on the farm. The time that she loved the most was the time spent with family and friends at all the get togethers. Funeral services will be held on April 10, 2010, in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Harry Chuckry officiating, interment will follow the service in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach, MB. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for all the care and compassion that Mary received. They would also like to thank the Selkirk EMT's for taking such good care of her on all the ambulance rides she had to take over the last little while.
