Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDA RUTH MCGRATH 1927 - 2010 The family is saddened to announce the passing of our Mom and Grandmother on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 82 years. After a short battle with cancer and with God's blessing Freda has gone to be with her Saviour. Remaining to forever cherish Freda's memory are her son Ernie (Madeline); grandchildren, Robert and Kayley of Winnipeg; sister Greta Webber of Sackville, Nova Scotia; nephews, Fred, Scott, and Dana Hollis, Rhodes Webber and niece Susan (Webber) Rosevere. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ernie of 43 years of marriage, passing in 1994; sister Ardella Greeno in 2006 and brother Hance Hollis in 2008. Freda was the third child of Fred and Mary Adelia Hollis born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She lived on Dentith Road Spryfield her entire life until the passing of her husband Ernie in 1994, at which time she relocated to Winnipeg and resided with her son and family. After her schooling Freda worked for many years at Simpson Sears in Halifax. Her greatest love was her family. Mom's gift was her natural ability to bring joy and laughter into the lives of others. She was blessed to have had many good and loving friends in her life. On Thursday, April 8, Freda's Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, with Pastor Bruce Martin, presider. The family would like to thank the many people and organizations, who assisted mom with her daily living and quality of life; CNIB; Charleswood Lions' Adult Day Club and the Assiniboine South Health Social Service Centre Family Services. - Pat, Reesea and Sheila. Thanks to Donna. Mom loved and appreciated each one of you for your love and care. The family also appreciates the loving care provided by the doctors, nurses and chapel staff at the third floor Grace Hospital, thank you.
