FLORENCE GUDRUN EINARSON (nee JOHNSON) 1916 - 2010 Peacefully, at her residence in Gimli, MB, on April 6, 2010, Florence Einarson passed away. She was predeceased by her husband Fred; parents, Vilhelmina (Villa) and Hallur; brothers, Einar and Edward; sisters, Helen and Lily. Florence is survived by Wilma (David) Spulnick and their children, Carol (Pat) Peterson (Lenny, Harry, Hannah), Kenny, Keith (Corine) (Austin and Savanna), Evan (Averley) (Connor), Sarah Howell; sister Bertha Jonasson and her family; sister-in-law Alice Johnson and her family; favourite nephew Leonard (Leah) Thordarson and their family, as well many nieces and nephews. Florence was born on August 31, 1916 in Winnipeg at Banning Street. She met her husband Fred in Arnes while working there. Florence was a very hard worker, working in various jobs after moving to Gimli in 1960. She worked at Gimli Café, Falcon Café, Golko's and Kardy's Hardware, the Old Gimli Hotel Restaurant, the Gimli Drive-in, the Gimli Airport (Officer's Mess) and Betel. We would like to thank her doctor, Dr. S. V Patel, the paramedics, the RCMP and Gilbart's. Florence's pallbearers will be David, Kenny and Evan Spulnick, Einar Howell and Lenny and Pat Peterson. A celebration of Florence's life will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in the Gimli Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor David Lowe officiating.
