GREGORY ROSS BARRY It is with great sadness that the family of Gregory Ross Barry announces his passing on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the age of 95 years. Greg has peacefully joined Jessie, his beloved wife of 63 years, who predeceased him in August 2007. He will be remembered with love by their children Douglas (Joyce), Evelyn Larsson (Ben), Allan (Judi), Ron (Kimberly), Bryan (Susanna), and his sister Olga Cowan. Grandpa will be sadly missed by Anna (Corey), Matthew, Christina (Garry), Trevor, Mandy (Mark), Daniel, Jeffrey, Evan, Bethany, Braeden, Keithan and Skylar, and great-grandchildren Sawyer, Madelaine, Courtney, Christian and Avery. Born March 27, 1915 in Winnipeg, Greg was the eldest of the five surviving children of Gregory and Rose Bahrychuk. He met Jessie Algar, the love of his life, in Edmonton where they began their married life in 1944. Greg and Jessie moved to their home in Fort Garry in 1957, where they raised their family and resided until their passing. Greg's career was spent in the insurance field, ending with Great West Life. A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Donations in Greg's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
