JANE DAVIS ELIZABETH COX March 25, 1921 - April 10, 2010 Passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre. Jane was the eldest in a family of five and was predeceased by her parents, father Richard Cox (1967) and mother Anne Cox (1988), brothers Freeman (1985), Patrick (1967) and Gerald (2008). Jane is survived by her brother Alex of Winnipeg, two sisters-in-law, Irene Cox of Calgary and Olive Cox of Winnipeg, nieces Susan Small and Kathy Jocelyn of Winnipeg, Sheila Marchyshyn of Calgary, two nephews, Sean Cox of Teulon and Jim Cox of Headingley and their families. Jane resided in the St. James area all her life. Jane loved her family and was much loved in return. Jane particularly enjoyed family get-togethers and took a great deal of joy in her many grandnieces and nephews. Jane had many friends and business associates and enjoyed attending the Manitoba Theatre Centre and Symphony Pop Concerts over the years. Jane was employed by the Northern Electric Company for all of her working life. After her retirement, she spent many years visiting and traveling with her long time friend, Dave Atkinson, enjoying trips to Australia, New Zealand, England and Ireland. Jane was a committed Christian and lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church, having served for a number of years as a Sunday School Superintendent, as well as several years as member of the Alter Guild. Jane was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Patricia Chapter #8 and a member of the Business and Professionals Women's Club and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Our sincere thanks go out to the staff of Seven East Deer Lodge Centre. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Canon Murray Still officiating at St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate Street with a reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Jane will be fondly remembered and in our hearts forever. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
