HELEN LENIUK Helen Leniuk from Netley, MB born March 12, 1942 passed away peacefully on April 10, 2010 at Seven Oaks General Hospital, after a short battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was predeceased by her parents, Janina and William Fryza and is survived by her loving husband of 47 years (in June) Eugene, two sons, Sheldon (Trudy) and Cory (Diana) and two beautiful grandsons, Ronin and Laughlin. She is also survived by her brother Stan Fryza (Patsy), sister Diane Tudryn (Mike), sister-in-law Wilma Acton (Brian) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a devoted wife and mother. She loved vegetable gardening, canning and preserving, cooking and baking, and took great joy and pride in providing a warm, loving home for her family. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and sewing, and many friends and family were bestowed with her beautiful work. She enjoyed her many travels to Hawaii, Mexico and California, but her favourite place was always at home in Netley. Mom's greatest joy was becoming a grandmother and she was blessed to have visited Red Deer, AB in February for Ronin's second birthday, and to meet her newest grandson Laughlin, three months old. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to Seven Oaks General Hospital, 5th floor, U6 and U1, for all their care and compassion shown to Mom in the past two weeks. She is now at peace. As per Mom's wishes, no funeral service will be held. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Parkinson's Society.
