HELEN DOREEN SOUTHWOOD (DYCK) July 14, 1931 - April 14, 2010 Helen Southwood of Winnipeg passed away peacefully after a short illness at the age of 78 years. Helen was born and raised in Winkler, Manitoba. In 1988 she married Wm. (Bill) Southwood, and worked many years at Codville's Wholesale. Helen loved gardening and grew the loveliest roses and other flowers. Definitely her passion and success. She will be thoroughly missed by her husband Bill, stepson Gary (Kathy); sons Rockwell and Douglas and daughter Sandra; special friend Nadine (Bim); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Elma, John, Henry (Tina), Tony and Frank (Louise); and nephew and nieces. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Ted Enns Dyck. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories on her favourite roses. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of one's choice.
