DERRY THOMAS SAGER July 21, 1937 - April 16, 2010 Derry was the precious husband of Gale (51 years). Greatest father to Jamie Sager and Michael (Michelle) Sager. His pride and joy were his family and grandchildren, Zach, Brandon, Madi, Rene, Keenan, Cassidy and Ethan and sister Betty (Ray) Forest. He was a grain man (Quality Control) and loved the many years he spent with McCabe Grain, National Grain, Manitoba Pool, U.G.G., Sask Pool, and the Canadian Grain Commission. He travelled to China to oversee a grain unload as well as travelling across Canada and the U.S. on barley tours and meetings with other grain companies. His motto We feed the world was said with pride. Derry spent many hours at the Y.M.C.A. (St. Vital) as fitness was a priority. The Manitoba Marathon was a great source of pride for him. He coached hockey and soccer for many years at Norberry. Respect and friendship followed him everywhere. His motorcycle was his lifestyle. His life was full of friends and family. Len, Don and Al are glad to have him at their side. A memorial reception to celebrate Derry's life will be held on Thursday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Thank you to Dr. McDiarmid, Natasha, Nancy and all the nursing staff of SE at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
