Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN ROSS JENSEN Norman Jensen passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, BC, at the age of 77 years, with wife Myrna and son Gordon by his side. Norman was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 13, 1932. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Alfred and Nell and brother Ray. Norman's passion his whole life was farming, taking over the Oak Bluff, MB family farm in the early 1960s, moving on to Arden, MB in 1974 and retiring from farming in Dawson Creek, BC in 2002. Known as an honest, tireless worker, always willing to help others, his word was his handshake. Norman worked hard in the name of his family providing us all with rich memories of life on the farm. He enjoyed sowing his crops and harvesting in the Fall. He kept busy all year round baling, hauling grain and hay, and restoring antique tractors. He enjoyed reading history, geography and nature books and was a wealth of knowledge on these topics. Survived by his beloved wife Myrna of Salmon Arm, BC, son David (Kristi) and grandkids Drew, Kiara and Klarissa of Winnipeg, MB, son Neil of Dawson Creek, BC and son Gordon (Janice) and grandkids Katie and Ashley of Salmon Arm, BC. A celebration of Norman's Life was held at Bowers Funeral Home, Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. The interment of cremated remains will follow at the Oak Bluff Community Cemetery, MB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A. / Humane Society as Norman loved his pets.
